CROWN RAIDERS · DFW GAMES
Terms of Service
Last updated:
1. Provider and scope
These terms apply to the online game Crown Raiders and its game features. The provider is DFW Games GmbH, Rimburger Allee 27, 52531 Übach-Palenberg, Germany (referred to as “we” or “us”). You can reach us at info@crownraiders.com or by phone at +49 1516 5741109. See our legal notice (German) for more details.
These terms apply when they have been validly incorporated into your agreement. App stores, payment providers and third-party sellers may also have their own terms. Our privacy notice (German) explains how we process personal data.
2. Access and accounts
The base game is free to play. You do not need to make any optional purchases to access it. You need a compatible device, an internet connection and a game account to play. Crown Raiders is intended for players aged 13 and older. If you are a minor, you need permission from your parent or legal guardian to play or make a purchase when the law requires it. App store ratings describe the game's content and do not replace that permission.
Keep your sign-in details secure and report suspected unauthorised access to us as soon as possible. Do not sell or rent your account or let someone else take it over for their own use. The law governs your rights and obligations if someone uses your account without permission.
3. Licence and fair play
Your game agreement gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Crown Raiders for private purposes. Rights in the game and its content remain with us or the respective rights holders. Uses allowed by law remain permitted.
The following conduct is prohibited in the game and its community features:
- Using cheats or bots, tampering with the client or game data without permission, or deliberately exploiting bugs for an unfair advantage;
- disrupting servers, accessing accounts without permission, fraud, phishing or evading a valid restriction;
- illegal content, threats, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, sexual exploitation or sexually explicit content;
- spam, impersonation, infringement of others' rights or sharing another person's personal data without authorisation.
4. Player content, reporting and moderation
Player content includes player names, clan names and messages in global or clan chat. You keep the rights to your contributions. You allow us to store them, show them to their intended audience in the game and process them as necessary to operate and moderate the game. This does not give us the right to use your contributions for advertising.
Use the in-game reporting feature where available for the content in question, or email info@crownraiders.com, to report illegal content or a rule violation. Identify the content, explain where we can find it and why you believe it is illegal or breaks the rules. Please do not send passwords.
If we find a violation after reviewing it, we may, depending on its seriousness, frequency and impact, issue a warning, hide or remove content, restrict individual features or temporarily suspend an account. We may act immediately with a necessary temporary measure in case of imminent harm or ongoing abuse. A permanent ban or termination for cause is possible only where there is a substantial reason and after weighing both parties' interests. Where the law requires a warning or time to remedy the issue, we provide it first.
If a moderation measure affects you, we will tell you what we did and why, where permitted by law and consistent with the safety of other people and the game. You can ask support to review the decision. This does not limit any legal right to information or appeal.
5. Purchases, game currency and digital items
Depending on the platform and offer, optional digital items are available through Google Play, the Apple App Store or another identified purchase channel such as Xsolla. The offer and checkout show what you will receive, the total price, the seller, and the payment and delivery terms for that purchase. For offers with random items, the odds must be disclosed before purchase. Keep your purchase receipt.
Game currency and virtual items are generally for use in the game in line with their purpose. You cannot transfer or trade them outside the game features that allow it, or cash them out. This does not limit any statutory entitlement to a refund, repayment or other remedy.
If you have a purchase problem, contact the seller on your receipt or our support team. A store's voluntary refund policy and your statutory rights apply independently of one another.
6. Right of withdrawal for distance contracts
If you have a statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer, you can generally withdraw from a contract for digital content or services within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. Refer to your seller's withdrawal information for the specific contract. For a contract with us, clearly tell us you want to withdraw, for example by email, post or phone using the details in section 1. If you send a message, sending it before the deadline is enough. You can use the statutory online withdrawal function where it applies to your contract. See the guidance from Google Play, Apple and Xsolla.
If you validly withdraw from a contract with us, we refund the payments we received for that contract without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your notice. We use your original payment method unless we expressly agree otherwise with you. We do not charge for the refund.
For paid digital content supplied without a physical medium, beginning supply early ends the right of withdrawal only if the legal conditions are met. These include your express consent to early supply, your acknowledgement that this means losing the right, and the required confirmation of the contract on a durable medium. Different statutory conditions apply to digital services. These terms do not substitute for a statement during checkout.
Sample withdrawal notice for contracts with us
Address your notice to DFW Games GmbH, Rimburger Allee 27, 52531 Übach-Palenberg, Germany, info@crownraiders.com. If you choose to use this sample, include:
- A statement that you are withdrawing and the content or service you ordered;
- the date of the order or receipt;
- your name, postal address and the date of the notice;
- your signature, if you send the notice on paper.
7. Updates, changes to the game and statutory rights
We provide updates required by law. We may make additional changes to the game during continuous supply for a valid reason, such as addressing security risks, adapting to changed legal or technical requirements, or correcting a significant, demonstrable imbalance in the game. There is no extra charge for these changes, and we inform you about them clearly.
If such a change affects access or usability by more than a minor amount, we give you reasonable advance notice on a durable medium, explaining the change, when it will take place and your rights. Where the statutory conditions are met, you can end the contract free of charge within 30 days of receiving that notice or of the change taking effect, whichever is later. This right does not apply if you can keep using the unchanged version at no extra cost. Your statutory rights if we fail to supply the game, provide required updates, correct a defect or if we discontinue the game remain intact.
Changes to these terms apply to existing contracts only if validly agreed or permitted by law. Posting new terms or continuing to play does not replace any consent the law requires.
8. Ending your agreement and deleting your account
You can end your agreement for free access at any time going forward, for example by emailing support. See the account deletion instructions (German) to request deletion of your account. When the game agreement ends, you lose access to that account and its associated game content. This does not affect statutory rights or claims under purchases you have already made. Both parties retain the right to terminate for cause.
9. Liability, applicable law and complaints
Our liability is governed by law. German law applies. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the mandatory protection of the law of your country of habitual residence. The competent courts are determined by law. If you have a complaint, contact our support team.
